You can not thrive in your business without a blog! I know what you are thinking, it’s an old timers sport and you don’t get clients from it. Well, my friend let me tell you why you are wrong. I am convinced that blogging is the best way to put out content! Just let me talk you into it and explain the ‘why’ behind blogging.
The best part about blogging? It’s definitely longevity. I had a client who was booking weddings in the Rockies from a blog that was over a year old! Isn’t that nuts?! When done correctly your blog will show up in Google searches, Pinterest, and other social platforms when people search for related keywords. Think of it as working smarter not harder. Do that work once, and the pay out is continual! Because of this blogs can live on long past their post date, which makes advertising so much easier for you!
Getting people to your website is tricky, but, necessary. I want you on the first page of Google! You want to be on the first page of Google! It is the goal, right?! But, if your website isn’t getting enough traffic that isn’t going to happen. Writing blogs and posting them on a number of different social media platforms increases the traffic to your website, which tells Google that you are important and need to be seen! And trust me, you need to be seen. So, let Google know it!
I have a philosophy when it comes to small businesses. The more you give the more you get! Writing a blog gives you the opportunity to serve your client and prospective clients. Which is crazy important! You want to be known as a resource that is full of knowledge, so that when people have a question, they think of you! If they think of you, then they will come to you and refer friends to you. Which is the goal! Blogging what you know shows that you are the expert, and your have the portfolio to prove it.
There you have it! Three of the many reasons I blog and why you should too! It isn’t a thing of the past, and I promise it will help out with your future! Blogging is probably my favorite part of building a business and I would love to share more with you. Now, what are you doing? Go, blog!
