I have been blogging for over five years, bringing photographers to the first page of Google, going from part time bookings to full time, and making an average of $30,000 more a year. Needless to say, I know what I am doing when it comes to SEO blogging for photographers. And now that AI is running my world, I actually have been asked, how to write a blog using AI? My answer: don’t. There is a place for AI in blogging, but it is not writing.
I won’t even pretend that I understand the ins and outs of artificial intelligence. Which hopefully will make this easier for you to understand! Basically, when it comes to writing content, AI will generate an answer to your prompt with information it finds on the internet. It compiles all that information and rewrites it in a matter of seconds. Which is amazing! Instead of you spending the time doing the research, you have a little bot do it for you. But, everything comes with a price and AI is no exception.
There are a few cons to writing an article of blog with AI. The largest of those being plagiarism. Because AI pulls from information on the internet, you could have a word-for-word snippets from other companies’ articles. But you would never know since Ai does not offer citations for you.
A huge con for using AI is the possible devaluation with Google. In my world, Google is King. Google did have an update to accept AI generated content, but they did announce that “E-A-T gets an extra E for Experience”. The new acronym E-E-A-T stands for: Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trustworthiness. However, when using AI to write a blog you will be at a high risk of duplicating content . Making it impossible to meet Google’s quality and reliability standards completely.

There are a ton more cons to writing with AI while blogging. Let me know if you want an article on that!
So, how do we use AI while blogging? There are two main ways to use AI without the cons. The first is prompts. There was a time when I was writing over twelve blogs a week for clients. (Thankfully, I have a copywriter now!) I felt like I had written everything I could for a wedding photographer, brand photographer, and senior photographer. I was exhausted of coming up with Ideas. Here are some prompts I would you to get a list of blog ideas:
Remember that not every idea will be a hit. And you may have to ask for prompts in a variety of ways to get exactly what you need.
I would be amiss if I didn’t mention outlines. As soon as you have your prompts, you may need some help with expounding or creating outlines. Try AI to help you create an outline or edit your outline to help you think outside of the box that your blogs are stuck in.
